Meet Grooveline Funk!
The heart of Grooveline is the rhythm section. These guys have been playing together for over 30 years. Grooveline really took off with the addition of vocal powerhouse, Stuart Fitzgerald. Stuart's muscular vocals brought the funky edge that the band needed to match the deep pocket laid down by the rhythm section. Drummer Guy Stevens, keyboardist Rick Seracino, and Guitarist Scott Ready are extremely pleased to be joined by Bill Merkel. Bill holds down the low end on bass guitar and brings a laid back groove to the mix. These seasoned professionals have been involved in the DC music seen for many years is a variety of bands and now bring there considerable talents together in Grooveline. Grooveline has been performing in the current incarnation for eight years. Prior to forming Grooveline, the rhythm section played for 20 years in the Isotopes, the Hit Men, the Press, and numerous other local bands. Based in Northern Virginia, the band has performed in virtually every DC Metro venue, college, and bar. Each band member brings 20 years or more of experience to the group, with performing experience ranging from the White House to Carnegie Hall. Grooveline features many veterans of the DC music scene.
